Hamelin is your nature social network, where its main objective is that through photographs of flora, fauna or landscapes we all get to know our natural environments better to protect and conserve them.

Photos of flora, fauna or landscapes can be published, so please do not upload other types of content.

Hamelin only uses the photographs, under the knowledge of the author and for his promotion.

From the "+" button you access the publication page where you can fill in the following information:

  • The photo(s).
  • Type of photography: (leaf, flower, fruit, bark, fauna, fungi, landscapes). Indicating this field in the case of plants helps to automatically recognize the species.
  • Description, in which hashtag and mentions can be included, and the species name can also be indicated in the "suggest species" field.
  • Location in which the photograph was taken and that you can adjust by navigating on the map and pressing to indicate the exact location.
  • Additional information:
    • Date.
    • Group, if you have taken that photo participating in a specific group.
    • Activity, if the photo was taken during an activity.

This problem usually occurs in mobile phones from Chinese providers that have a battery optimization system that when going to the gallery or the camera, they understand that you are leaving Hamelin and to optimize the battery they restart the application.

To solve this problem you have to modify the battery settings in your phone settings for Hamelin. You can find out the steps to follow in this link: https://dontkillmyapp.com/

If you still have problems, get in touch with us via chat @hamelin or email info@hamelin.io

It is recommended, since in this way we can all get to know our natural environments better to protect and conserve them. To participate in the contests it is mandatory.

Anyone from anywhere in the world who is a Nature lover can participate in Hamelin.

  • The icon of a flag with a mountain symbolizes a landscape photo.
  • The icon with a green star indicates that the photographed species (flora or fauna) has already been identified and validated.

You can send us a report on the ellipsis icon (…) that appears at the top of the photos.

No, unless you have explicit consent from the author. The person who publishes the photographs is solely responsible for possible claims by the original author.

If as long as the photo is of the same individual of animal or plant, in this way you facilitate the identification of the species.

Within Hamelin you can create groups of interest, friends, dissemination, research, ... in which you can put a cover image, the description of the group, if it is a public or private group and more information.

Groups can be public or private. Audiences are accessible to everyone, and you become part of it simply by joining the group and posting a photo in it. To be part of the private ones you have to send a request to the group manager, who can accept or reject your request.

Both companies and freelancers who are dedicated to the world of sustainable tourism, ecotourism or active tourism can promote their activities in Hamelin.

  • From the app you must go to the lower menu and press the icon with three stripes that appears to the right of the bell.

  • From the web you must go to the icon with three dots that appears in the upper right next to the icon with your photograph.

Registering an activity is very simple, you simply have to include the photographs of your activity, a description, cost if it has one and other data that may be relevant to the people who are going to do it. Hamelin is a place to promote yourself but reservations are made directly with the provider or guide.

Places are created at the request of a Hamelin user, or an institution. By default it includes generic information from Wikipedia, as well as the cover image. If it is an institution that requests the creation, it may provide the images and texts.

Inside a place you can see:

  • The photographs taken in that place by Hamelin users, both in grid mode and in map mode, selecting any of the two options in the icons that appear in the upper right part (next to the search engine).

  • Activities available at that location.

  • Groups from that place in which you can participate.

In this section you will find news, relevant events, contests, raffles, etc.

The purpose of the contests and raffles within Hamelin is to encourage participation and the publication of photographs of flora, fauna and landscapes with the aim of knowing the natural environments that surround us in order to help protect and conserve them.
